I am a geologist specialising in geochemistry and mineral chemistry, particularly in how we can track subtle changes in mineral chemistry across mineral deposits in an effort to develop geochemical exploration tools, especially in covered terranes. These geochemical exploration tools are designed to value-add to drilled core and aid mineral exploration, which is being forced into deeper terranes and becoming more expensive. This research is being undertaken as part of MinEx CRC (Mineral Exploration Cooperative Research Centre: www.minexcrc.com.au).
I was awarded a Bachelor of Science in 2019 with a double major in Earth Science and Chemistry from the University of Newcastle, continuing on to do an Honours in Earth Science in 2020-2021. I began my PhD at the University of South Australia in late 2021 focused on monazite ([La,Ce,Nd]PO4) and rhabdophane ([La,Ce,Nd]PO4 ยท nH2O) chemistry in iron oxide-copper-gold and iron sulfide-copper-gold deposits in the Mount Isa Province, northwest Queensland. After submission in 2025, I began work as a researcher within the MinEx CRC.
