Dona Babu is a Research Fellow at the University of South Australia. She is passionate about research that focuses on interprofessional practice and the quality use of medicines, particularly for hospitalised patients and older people accessing aged care or home care services. She has completed her doctoral thesis, which explored the macro, meso, and micro-level factors influencing the involvement of clinical pharmacists in ward rounds within Australian inpatient hospital settings.
Dona also works as a Clinical Pharmacist at SA Pharmacy. Her clinical experience spans general medical and surgical units, dispensary setting, palliative care, high dependency, geriatric evaluation and management, and rehabilitation.
Since 2021, Dona has contributed to pharmacy education at the University of South Australia, teaching across several undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Pharmacy Practice, Advanced Pharmacy Practice, Health Professional Essentials, and Social and Ethical Issues in Health.
