Dr Yoshio Yanadori is Senior Lecturer at the UniSA Business School. Before joining UniSA, he was a faculty member at the University of British Columbia (UBC, Canada).
He earned his PhD in Human Resource Studies from ILR School, Cornell University. His research interests include compensation management, diversity management, and human resource management in multinational coporations. His work has been published in leading academic journals including Accounting, Organizations and Society, Industrial Relations, and Straetgic Management Journal. When he was in Canada, he took a leadership role in the academic community of HRM researchers in Canada by serving as an officer of the Human Resource Division at Administrative Science Association of Canada.
In recognition of his research, he has successfully obtained national-level large-scale competitive research grants (Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada), as well as university-level research grants (e.g., UniSA’s Twenty Really Good Grant, UBC’s Hampton Grant). He is currently working on the gender pay gap at executive level in Australian firms. His paper, co-authored with his colleagues at UniSA received the Faculty Transnational Research Best Conference Paper Award at Gender and Diversity in Organization Division of Academy of Management in 2014. He is currently on Australia Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s data consulting group.
