Gavin Colville is a teaching academic at UniSA Business School. As a lecturer and course coordinator in the Bachelor of Business (Sport and Recreation Management), Gavin's teaching focus includes sport event management, governance, and the management of athletic participation and performance pathways. Gavin holds undergraduate qualifications in sport and recreation planning and master’s qualifications in both business administration and educational psychology. Gavin has held various working roles in the sports industry including management roles with the Australian Sports Commission, the South Australian National Football League, and the West Adelaide Football Club. Gavin's ability to combine industry experience with academic content is regularly acknowledged. This includes being a two-time recipient of UniSA Business School’s ‘Excellence in Teaching’ award and also a recipient of the school's ‘Excellence in International Collaboration’ award.
Research interests include metacognition and athletic performance, athletic and personal identity, the application of educational pedagogy in personal and professional development.
