Dr Jamie Cleland is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Management at the University of South Australia. He is author of eight books and has also published six industry reports and over 60 articles and chapters, particularly focusing on communication, abuse towards match officials, gender, sexuality/homophobia, race and active supporter mobilisations in a range of international journals and books. His research findings have been covered by media outlets all over the world, including NBC, Reuters, the BBC, the Guardian and Daily Telegraph.
