Susie is a Senior Technical Officer with the STEM Technical Services: Chemistry & Biology Team,
Susie provides specialised technical advice regarding the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.  She is responsible for four highly utilised Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) instruments. located at Mawson Lakes campus. These include: Inductively Coupled Plasma Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (ICP-TOF-MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Tripple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry (ICP-QQQ-MS), and Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES).  These can be used with either solution or Laser Ablation (LA) introduction systems.
UniSA STEM Chemistry and Biology Technical Services provide specialist technical advice and support to researchers from many academic areas, such as Materials, Minerals, Geology, Marine Biology, Medical Biochemistry, Cancer Research, and Health sciences. Laboratories are also utilised by undergraduate courses to add real-world application along with fieldwork and practical learning as a significant component of the degree syllabus.
Susie works closely with Researchers across the four strands of the Future Industries Institute (FII) - minerals, environmental, biomaterials and energy. Their research and development activities are deeply engaged with industry. Developing and building partnerships that provide solutions to current challenges and seed expansions in future industries
