Associate Professor Vivien Chanana is Program Director - Marketing (Ehrenberg-Bass Institute of Marketing Science) at UniSA Business. Prevously she has been the Teaching Innovation Leader and Curriculum Leader for the undergraduate Marketing program. She manages the delivery of the program on campus, externally, and also at offshore locations.
A/Prof. Chanana has had extensive experience in industry and academia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with First Class Honours in English, a Master of Arts (MA) and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in English, and an MBA in International Business, receiving First Place and a University Gold Medal for both her MA and MPhil Degrees.
A/Prof. Chanana has received numerous awards for the quality of her teaching, including a Commonwealth National Citation and 2014 Award for Leadership in Teaching and Learning from the Business School, an Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2008, and a Supporting Student Learning Award in 2010. She received a UniSA Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2011 and in 2012 received a Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning from the Office for Teaching and Learning.
She has undertaken extensive research on small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and their use of technology in transforming their organisations, and presented her research at conferences across Europe and Australia. She is passionate about both learning and teaching, and currently lectures at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the areas of International Marketing, Services Marketing, and Marketing Principles.
