Leana Coleman is a Lecturer in Science and Mathematics Education at the University of South Australia. She teaches and coordinates a number of primary and secondary mathematics and science courses, and professional experience. This follows more than a decade working in schools: as teacher and curriculum coordinator, specialising in middle school science and mathematics, as well as senior biology and chemistry. Leana has a Graduate Diploma of Education (UAdel) and a first class Honours degree in Physiology (UAdel) and she has published research in both nutritional science and science education. Her PhD research explores how expert teachers enact curriculum to foster critical and creative thinking in the lower secondary science classroom.
