Have you ever wondered if the content from the social media platforms you use might influence how you think or act? 

That question is the crux of my research: To what extent do the recommender systems and algorithms of social media platforms influence their users' beliefs, behaviours, attitudes and opinions? By utilising mathematical models, simulations, and real-world data, we can answer that question and develop some ways that social media platforms and government agencies may combat the increasing polarisation in society. 

Plus, this is a good way to utilise my BA in social media and my chronic addiction to TikTok.
