I am a PhD researcher interested to understand the experiences of women farmers in social learning and scaling mechanisms for sustainable agriculture development in the Eastern Gangetic Plains within the School of Social Sciences.
A social researcher with over 10 years of experience in the development sector and 5 years of focused research at the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), based in Kathmandu, Nepal, where I have experience working in regional projects funded by ACIAR across Nepal, India, and Bangladesh. My expertise includes implementation of qualitative and quantitative research in agriculture and rural development.
I hold a Master’s degree in Public Health with a strong interdisciplinary background including health, nutrition, gender, WASH, and agriculture. My research interests center on understanding gender dynamics in agricultural systems, particularly how they influence decision-making, access to resources, livelihood outcomes, and sustainable development.
