Dr. Huan Zhao (also named as Huanhuan Zhao) is an Research Fellow at the Biometry Hub on the Waite Campus of the University of Adelaide (UA). She provides analytical supports to pre-breeding and breeding projects, working as a team member of the Analytics for the Australian Grains Industry in University of Adelaide (AAGI-UA), a Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) funded initiative. Dr. Zhao possesses a deep understanding of plant breeding and has more recently specialized in developing and validating genomic prediction models. Her work utilizes large-scale genomic and phenomic data to enhance the prediction accuracy of these models. Additionally, her research extends to identifying genomic regions associated with complex traits through genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and assessing genetic gains in breeding programs via simulation techniques.
