Dr. Hammed Musibau is a Research Fellow - Government Commissioned Research Economist at the School of Economics and Public Policy, University of Adelaide, Australia.Hammed holds a PhD in economics from the University of Tasmania School of Business and Economics. His research interests encompass various fields, including Environmental Economics, Macroeconomics, Labour Economics, Education Economics, International Trade, and Applied Econometrics. His doctoral thesis examines the factors influencing economic growth, particularly emphasizing the role of environmental quality and human capital.Before this role, he served as an Economist at the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for the Queensland Government. Additionally, he was a doctoral researcher, lecturer, and research assistant at the Tasmania School of Business and Economics at the University of Tasmania.In recent years, he has been engaged in several projects related to evaluating the socio-economic impacts of energy policy reform, focusing on aspects such as the influence of power dynamics and the role of environmental performance in economic growth. His work also includes the construction of educational outcomes data utilizing factor analysis and the Chow Lin (1971) technique, resulting in an annual series for 37 Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries, as well as an examination of the impacts of education quality on economic growth, supported by the TSBE at the University of Tasmania.Additionally, he has participated in a project funded by the Queensland Government, the Queensland Pasture Resilience Program, which addresses challenges such as pasture dieback, declining land conditions, and pasture rundown that threaten beef productivity. This initiative is a collaboration among the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Meat & Livestock Australia, and the Australian Government through the MLA Donor Company. Furthermore, he has contributed to the review of the Breedcow and Dynama software developed by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries in Queensland.
My research spans Environmental Economics, Macroeconomics, Labour Economics, Education Economics, International Trade, and Applied Econometrics.
