I am a senior biostatistician with over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, and public health research, with expertise in pharmacoepidemiology, applied statistics, and the analysis of large-scale health datasets. My analytical expertise includes survival analysis, time-series modelling, propensity score methods, and predictive modelling. I am skilled in implementing a wide range of epidemiological study designs, including cohort, case-control, self-controlled case series, and comparative effectiveness studies. My work integrates quantitative research with real-world application, supporting national health policy and practice through evidence-based insights. I have extensive experience working with large administrative health datasets, including PBS, MBS and hospital data, to evaluate medicine use, health service utilisation, and patient safety. Currently, I work as a statistician in the Discipline of General Practice, where I utilise the MedicineInsight general practice database to investigate long-term outcomes in primary care. My responsibilities include designing statistical methodologies, managing longitudinal data, deriving clinical variables using techniques such as regular expressions, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications and national collaborative projects.
