Dr. Moustafa T. Mabrouk earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2024 from the University at Buffalo, New York. With a passion for integrating engineering principles with medical sciences, Dr. Mabrouk has dedicated his research to advancing healthcare technologies and improving patient outcomes.
During his doctoral studies, Dr. Mabrouk focused on developing innovative vaccine strategies for infectious diseases and cancer. His research developing a COVID-19 vaccine during the pandemic was published in Science Advances and highlighted by media has been recognized for its potential to develop a thermostable human vaccine.
In addition to his research, Dr. Mabrouk has actively contributed to the academic community. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles including five first authors and presented his findings at numerous international conferences such as ASTMH.
Dr. Mabrouk moved from USA to Australia to join SAiGENCI with the aspiration of developing a new cancer vaccine, leveraging his expertise in biomaterials and immunology. His interdisciplinary approach and collaborative spirit have allowed him to effectively engage with a diverse range of professionals, including engineers, scientists, and healthcare providers.
