I am a PhD candidate at the University of Adelaide, currently conducting research on the long-term behaviour of PFAS in contaminated soils. I hold a master’s degree in chemistry and have published work on the synthesis and characterisation of activated carbon. Supervised by Dr. Shervin Kabiri, Dr. Divina Navarro, and Dr. Matthias Salomon, my current research aims to advance sustainable soil remediation technologies. My PhD focuses on the systematic monitoring and evaluation of PFAS immobilisation strategies under field-relevant conditions. I employ advanced characterisation and analytical techniques, such as LC-MS/MS, to assess the durability and effectiveness of sorbent-based treatments. The study also includes column leaching tests to investigate how real-time environmental factors influence the stability and performance of these treatments.
