My research interests include facial expressions of emotions, neurophysiological activity associated with emotion perception, and emotion processing in autism. My students and I use EEG to investigate brain waves and eye tracking to understand our scanning behaviour while we are looking at facial expressions depicting different intensities of emotions. The current projects also assess whether the neural, cognitive and behavioural responses during facial expression processing differ between people with high vs. low autistic traits.
