I have 8 years of experience in the laboratory bench of scientific research, which has allowed me to present my work at numerous national and international events, earning several awards. It has also enabled me to meet amazing people who have taught me a lot and engaged in intellectually stimulating discussions. My current focus is to enhance and/or apply my knowledge to the production of prophylactic vaccines. Despite this specific goal, my interests extend to therapeutic vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, mammalian cells, nanoparticles, HIV, HPV, and cancer. The field of health science is too vast to harbor a narrow mind.Currently, I work in the Chemical Engineering field as a PhD student at the University of Adelaide. My areas of expertise include upstream and downstream processes in pharmaceutical production, with a focus on scaling up bench-scale processes for industry. My current project involves the development of matrices for protein purification and mineral screening.I previously worked in biotechnology, developing a vaccine antigen against Streptococcus pneumoniae infections, and Basic Health Research as an intern/research assistant at USP, while pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences. My general experiences involve bioreactor cultivation, chromatographic systems, experimentation in mice, histological and immunoenzymatic analyses, and genotyping. These endeavors aimed to evaluate a gene's role in inducing squamous cell carcinogenesis in head and neck tissues.
