Rachael Hofmeyer is currently completing a PhD in Animal Sciences that is focused on molecular biology and reproduction in cattle.

Rachael's research is focusing on investigating a genetic disorder that is causing female sub-fertility in a stud herd of cattle. The PhD project is investigating what genetic mutation is causing the female sub-fertility disorder and how it is impacting hormone synthesis, reproduction, and the external phenotype in affected females.
