
Dr Jason Gummow

Jason is a virologist and facility manager at the University of Adelaide, overseeing both the Gene Silencing and Expression (GSEx) laboratory and the Functional Genomics South Australia (FGSA) core facility. The GSEx laboratory specialises in viral vector production, including lentiviral, AAV, and retroviral vectors, supporting advanced research in gene delivery, gene silencing, and virology. FGSA, a state-of-the-art facility operated as a node of Phenomics Australia, provides services such as CRISPR gene editing, high-throughput screening, and functional genomics assays.
