Higher Degree by Research Candidate
Adelaide Medical School
Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
I am a joint PhD student mainly based in Adelaide at the Women's and Children's Hospital, working with the Cystic Fibrosis Airway Research Group (CFARG). As part of the Joint Degree Program I am also working with the Respiratory Medicine department at Nagoya University in Japan.
My research is focused around developing magnetic guided delivery techniques using magnetic nanoparticles to make airway gene therapy more effective. I am currently working on building understanding of how we can control the movement, retention time, and deposition of magnetic nanoparticles on the airway surface and how this effects airway gene therapy efficiency.
Along with my research, I work as a teaching assistant for pharmacology in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
