Amie is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate and higher degree by research student at the University of Adelaide. After graduating, Amie spent time in large animal practice before commencing her research career in racehorse cardiology. Additional to her professional and research career, she is a practical demonstrator in Equine Clinical Practice and Professional Skills within the school.
Amie is currently undertaking a Master of Philosophy investigating the use of artificial intelligence and smart textile devices in racehorses for the detection of arrhythmias. Amie has a passion for cardiology, sports medicine and racehorse welfare. She is personally and professionally committed to improving the welfare of racehorses.
Undertaking a Master of Philosophy project titled "Application of smart textile and artificial intelligence technology to assess exercise-associated cardiac arrythmias in racehorses."
