I am a researcher with a PhD focused on understanding the role of bitter taste in human health. My doctoral work has explored how bitter compounds contribute to the slowing of gastric emptying, regulation of appetite and energy intake, and lowering of blood glucose at both clinical and population levels (Bitterness of diet). I am particularly interested in the complex interactions between diet, the gut microbiome, and metabolic and reproductive health outcomes, including the effects of dysbiosis. My research extends to women’s and children’s health, aiming to identify dietary and microbial factors that influence long-term wellbeing.
I have strong expertise in working with statistical software such as R Studio, and Stata, and I am experienced in conducting meta-analyses and analyzing large-scale observational studies. My work combines nutritional science, clinical research, and population health approaches to uncover mechanisms underlying diet–health interactions and to inform strategies for disease prevention and health promotion.
