Lucia Falzon

Lucia Falzon has significant and acknowledged expertise in the area of social network analysis. She has over 20 years of experience as a leader and mentor in mathematical modelling of social phenomena and dynamic social network analysis.
Over her career at DSTG she has fostered extensive collaborations through her honorary position at the University of Melbourne, a visiting fellowship at the University of Adelaide, through a strong collaborative network developed through the DSTG Strategic Response Initiative program (Modelling Complex Human Systems) and through her role on the senior researchers committee of the Australian Network of Social Network Analysts (ANSNA). She has a deep understanding of defence requirements, particularly in the areas of information operations and Grey Zone conflict and well -established links to defence science researchers in the US and the UK. As a DSTG alumni she is frequently approached for advice to shape research proposals that are related to her area of expertise in defence science.
