Lachlan is a marketing PhD candidate within the Adelaide Business School at the University of Adelaide. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) in 2020 and a First Class Honours Degree in Marketing in 2021. While completing his Honours Degree, Lachlan received a University Award for outstanding academic performance. His research is interdisciplinary, located at the intersection of the fields of marketing, finance and psychology, and has been published in the European Journal of Marketing (A*). Lachlan's research seeks to better understand the underlying psychological drivers of consumer spending behaviour with innovative payment methods, with the goal of understanding how they impact consumer well-being, specifically in the financial context.
