Jie Liang is a PhD Student in Applied Mathematics at The University of Adelaide whose focus is directed at ocean wave-ice interaction, wave-induced ice shelf vibrations using mathematical models and realistic profiles. Under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Luke Bennetts and Dr Jordan Pitt, Jie is producing transfer functions that correlate ocean wave energy to shelf vibrations.
Jie Liang has completed a double degree program at The University of Adelaide and was awarded a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic) with First Class Honours, alongside a Bachelor of Applied Mathematics science. Jie has completed a final year project "All-Silicon Terahertz Planar Horn Antenna" with Assoc. Prof. Withawat Withayachumnankul and Mr. Wejie Gao in 2020 and was awarded "Ingenuity - Best Sensing and Security Exhibit Winner". The following paper was also published in July, 2021
Research: ocean wave-ice interaction, wave-induced ice shelf vibrations using mathematical models and realistic profiles.
Working on: producing transfer functions that correlate ocean wave energy to shelf vibrations.
