Harry Rowton
Higher Degree by Research Candidate
School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology
Harry is a PhD candidate. For his PhD Harry studies the mixing of hypersonic fluids using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for application in scramjet engines. His project investigates the mixing and performance characteristics of transverse injection with a focus on improving engine performance whilst optimizing for emissions of green house gases. His hope is to see hydrogen based hypersonic vehicles used as green alternatives to space transport in the future. Harry is interested in all things space, fluid mechanics and sustainable technology.
