Professor Tina Brodie (BSW (Hons) GradCertCouns, PhD) is an Aboriginal woman with connections to Yawarrawarrka and Yandruwandha (South Australia). Tina is the Pro Vice Chancellor Aboriginal Leadership and Strategy at the University of South Australia and has an affiliation with Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) and The University of Adelaide in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
Tina has over 17 years of experience in Aboriginal health and wellbeing in research, education, clinical, project and leadership roles. Tina has expertise in the fields of Social Work, Counselling and Psychotherapy, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community engagement and Indigenous methodologies. Tinas research explores Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing, mental health and the social determinants of health.
