Preeti Nalavadi is a PhD candidate at Adelaide Law School, where she is supervised by Dr Chris Symes and David Brown. She is currently completing her thesis on the topic "Revival of the Walking Dead: Comparative and Functional Study of Corporate Rescue in three Countries - the US, Australia and India." She is also an Associate Teacher of Law and has been involved in tutoring and marking Commercial Laws I & II courses since 2019. She was a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship and Zelling- Gray Scholarship. 

Preeti is a qualified and experienced lawyer from India. She has over 18 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on corporate law, insolvency law, and banking law. She has worked as a lawyer in both private practice and in-house counsel roles. In her previous role as Legal Manager at Canara Bank, a leading public sector bank in India, she was responsible for providing legal advice on a wide range of matters, including corporate law, insolvency law, banking law, and consumer law. She also has experience in drafting policies, collaborating, liaising with stakeholders, and submissions to Parliament of legislation.

Preeti's research interests include Insolvency, Tech Law, Banking and Finance Law, Commercial Law, and Corporate Law. She is working towards her research to be published in leading academic journals, and she has presented her work at conferences around the world.

Preeti is a highly skilled and experienced academic with a strong track record of research and teaching. She is passionate about her research and is committed to making a positive contribution to the field of law. She believes that it is essential to provide students with a well-rounded legal education. She strongly believes that by teaching students to think critically, helping them understand the social context of the law, applying the law to real-world problems, and collaborating with others, she can help prepare students for a successful career in law. Preeti is a strong supporter of using Artificial Intelligence in legal education and promotes an ethically sustainable environment to educate students.
