My research investigates how educators can harness media, technology, and pedagogical innovation to transform teaching and learning in higher education. My doctoral work established an evidence base for integrating feature films and television series into university teaching, drawing on cognitive science, educational psychology, and film literacy theory.

This has since expanded into generative AI in education, where I examine how AI tools can support assessment redesign, professional learning, and work-integrated learning, particularly in preparing pre-service teachers for placement. I also hold a Diploma of Counselling, which deepens my understanding of the affective dimensions of teaching and learning. I publish in Q1 journals including British Journal of Educational Technology, Higher Education Research & Development, Teaching in Higher Education, and Australasian Journal of Educational Technology, and have forthcoming chapters with Routledge and Springer.
