Michelle Clarke.
My research interests include improving child health through prevention of infectious diseases. I strive to understand the epidemiology of infectious diseases and evaluate strategies to protect infants and children and contribute to these goals through research and clinical trials conducted within our team at the Women's and Children's Hospital. Our expertise is in conducting clinical trials to evaluate new and existing vaccines. In addition, we aim to understand factors which may influence the effectiveness of vaccines, as well as the impact of vaccination on prevention of infection and or severe disease. We also aim to understand and explore barriers and facilitators to immunisation for pregnant women and children.
