Dr Lemma Bulto

Dr. Lemma Bulto is a Researcher within the School of Public Health, Health Evidence Synthesis, Recommendations, and Impact Unit. He earned his PhD from the University of Adelaide, where he was awarded the Doctoral Research Medal and the Dean's Commendation for Doctoral thesis excellence. Following his PhD, he held a postdoctoral position at Flinders University, receiving the Vice-President and Executive Dean Award and the Vice-Chancellor Early Career Researcher Award in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Since 2023, he has been serving as a committee member of the South Australia Cardiovascular Research Network (SACVRN) Rising Stars Working Group. Dr. Bulto's research focuses on evidence-based cardiovascular disease prevention, including the development and evaluation of innovative prevention models and strategies. His research outputs have informed health policies and practice guidelines, including the WHO guidlines. With extensive experience in evidence synthesis and a strong interest in evidence-based healthcare, he joined the HESRI research unit and is currently working on a guideline development project.

Dr Bulto is a member of the Adelaide GRADE Centre and a certified Guideline Panel Member (McMaster University, Canada).
