APrf Jennifer Cleary

Dr Jen Cleary is a geographer, with a background spanning vocational and higher education, regional, rural and remote research, development, social services and social policy. She is currently the CEO of Centacare Catholic Country SA (CCCSA), a for purpose organisation providing social services in regional, rural and remote communities in South Australia, across a footprint of some 980,000 km2. Dr Cleary is a member of the SEGRA (Sustainable Economic Growth for Regional Australia) National Steering Committee; SACOSS Board and the TAFESA Board. She has led major national research projects with the University of SA; the University of Adelaide and the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre. She continues to write and publish in her areas of interest, including rural, regional and remote social and economic policy, development; governance; and decision-making. Her research strengths are participatory research and community engagement; participatory planning and social impact assessment. Dr Cleary is recognized nationally and internationally for her expertise and knowledge of rural, regional and remote social and economic development. She holds a PhD in Geography from the University of SA
