Dr. Mansoureh Rajabitanha is a Ph.D. graduate of the University of Adelaide, completing an Art History thesis entitled ‘Woven Pleasure: A New Perspective on the History of Persian Carpets during the Ṣafavīd Period (1501-1722 CE).’ She is a researcher in the field of Islamic and Persian Art and Architecture. Her current research focuses on building a new area of expertise in the field of Islamic art, bringing textile, landscape, and architectural designs together into a unified area concerned with the theory and history of decorative arts. She also teaches "History and Theory" and "Designing Research" at the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
