Jillian is a postdoctoral researcher looking at the fluorescence of materials and their applicability for real-time sensor development. Real-time sensors enable dynamic decision-making to optimise mineral processing, improve safety, and find material presence in a complicated environment.BSc: Space Science and Astrophysics (in Physics)Hons: In Physics (Thermoluminescence of domestic glasses)Masters: In Physics (Testing thermally transferred optically stimulated luminescence dating protocols on the Robe-Naracoorte stranded dune sequence)PhD: In Physics (Novel fluorescence techniques for real-time mineral identification)

Dr Jillian Moffatt specialises in Novel Fluorescence, working within the Prescott Environmental Luminescence Laboratories. Novel Fluorescence focuses on discovering signatures of materials within understudied fluorescence regimes, and applying these for real-time material identification in complex environments.
