Dr Jennifer Gray is a member of the academic staff in the School of Dentistry, University of Adelaide. She came to the University from a career as a dentalpractitioner in the public sector for child oral health, and a dental educator and manager in the South Australian Dental Service, at a time when the University took up the challenge of offering a new degree-based programme in Oral Health to educate future oral health therapists. Jennifer accepted an appointment as Senior Lecturer. Jennifer has contributed to bodies such as the Oral Health Advisory Committee, College of Oral Health Academics, the Dental Board of South Australia and the Australian Dental Council. Jenny teaches in the areas of health promotion and population health. She has recently established the Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science (Adult Therapy). In 2016, Jennifer was appointed Director of the National Oral Health Promotion Clearinghouse.

Appointed as Program coordinator and Senior lecturer in 2003.

Main research programs include population health, service delivery and policy development; child oral health and identification of health promotion and effective preventive strategies.

Has refereed for a range of journals including Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology, Health Promotion, Public Health, ANZJ Dental and Oral Health Therapy.

Jenny Gray (nee Miller) is a member of the academic staff on the School of Dentistry, University of Adelaide. She has qualifications in Dental Therapy, Health Care Management and Adult Education and completed her PhD at the University of Adelaide in 2016. She came to the University from a career as a dental educator and manager in the South Australian Dental Service at a time when the University took up the challenge of offering a new degree-based program in Oral Health to educate future dental therapists and dental hygienists. Jenny accepted an appointment as Senior Lecturer and the role of Bachelor of Oral Health Coordinator and has led the team that has planned and implemented this programme, as well as undertaking the role of Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies from 2005-2007 and acting in the position in 2011.  

In 2015 she has taken on the role of Coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science where she was responsible for program development, including content and assessment development, for the program. She have been involved in a number of accreditation teams assessing BOH programs across Australia and New Zealand and was also part of the curriculum development team for the Oral Health Therapist Graduate Year Program.
