Research Profile

I have cultivated a robust skillset that uniquely equips me to address both contemporary issues of national importance and delve into theoretical inquiries. My research endeavors aim to contribute meaningful insights and innovative solutions to the pressing challenges we face today.

Empirical Research Focus:

In recent empirical research, I have made significant contributions to the fields of energy markets and the complexities surrounding the transition to green energy. My work has also extended to examining the interplay between COVID-19 and stock market returns, providing valuable insights into their interconnected dynamics. Additionally, I've conducted analyses on the effects of substituting prison sentences for fines on crime rates, capturing the potential impact of this approach.

These contributions have not only expanded the knowledge base in these domains but have also garnered attention from media outlets.

Theoretical Research Focus:

On the theoretical front, my work has explored the realms of R&D spillovers and social norms, providing valuable insights into these complex areas of study. This theoretical foundation complements my empirical research, creating a holistic approach to addressing multifaceted challenges.

Key Achievements:

A significant milestone in my research journey includes a comprehensive analysis of the electricity market Renewable Energy Target (RET), with a particular focus on its potential applicability to the gas market. The findings from this project led by the South Australian Centre for Economic Studies (SACES) were instrumental in identifying the scheme's limitations and highlighting areas that require further consideration and improvement.

Future Directions:

Looking ahead, I am committed to continuing my research journey with a focus on addressing contemporary challenges and advancing theoretical inquiries. My goal is to contribute to the development of innovative solutions and insights that have a lasting impact on society.
