Dr Kym Fraser

Kym Fraser is an adjunct researcher in the UniSA Business School at the University of South Australia, Adelaide. He retired in March 2022 as Dean of the Kurdistan Business School, University of Kurdistan Hewlêr, in Erbil, Iraq. He continues to hold adjunct professorships at the University of Brawijaya, Indonesia; and Aalborg University, Denmark. Before becoming an academic in 2002 he spent 25 years in practice, holding senior management positions in both government and private enterprises, specialising in service and operations management.
Since joining academia he has taught a range of business courses at under- and post-graduate level, specialising in strategic management, corporate finance, and international business. Due to a keen interest in other cultures and gaining a global perspective, he has visited over 150 countries, which includes university teaching assignments in 10 countries: Indonesia, Italy, Denmark, China, Malaysia, Hungary, Hong Kong, Iraq, Singapore and Australia. He has undertaken collaboration with five overseas research universities in Japan, Denmark, Indonesia, USA, and Singapore, and published over 100 research articles in internationally refereed books, journals and conferences.
