The role of virtue in management is my main interest. I retired in late 2014 and retain an adjunct appointment. Teaching corporate and professional ethics remains a passion. I was the general secretary of ISBEE 2016-2022 and president of the Australian Assn for Professional & Applied Ethics 2006-2008. Before joining the university I worked in sugar manufacture, rural industries, petroleum, corporate strategy and human resource management, holding senior positions in Australia and overseas. For ten years I was a principal in an Adelaide-based consulting practice working in the field of corporate strategy and corporate finance.
I have a non-UniSA website at https://sites.google.com/view/howard-harris/home and a personal email mengtzu21@gmail.com

Corporate ethics, particularly the value of ethical culture and practice as a competitive benefit for an organisation, and the factors which can influence individuals in their response to situations where it may be difficult to act according to one's own (or one's corporate) code of conduct. Courage and love as management virtues. Teaching business ethics.
