Bo Fu studied at Centre for Catalysis and Clean Energy, Griffith University and obtained his PhD in Chemical Science in 2024. His current research focusing on Solar-thermal energy conversion and applications, and the development of porous materials. 
In 2019, he joined Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences as a research assistant. In 2024, he joined Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences, The University of Queensland as a senior research technician. In 2025, Bo joined UniSA as a research associate. His research experiences including: hierarchical porous materials, Interfacial solar-vapor generation; Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), Proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE), Heavy metal pollution, Platinum Group Elements immigration, Soil Organic Carbon.
