Kartick Gupta is an Associate Professor and a Professorial Lead at the University of South Australia Business unit. He is also the Director of Policy & Regulation stream of the Centre for Markets, Values & Inclusion (MVI). He is an international expert in the area of financial performance and corporate governance. AProf Gupta has published a range of refereed journal articles and won multiple awards including at the prestigious American Accounting Association (AAA) - 2018 Southeast Region Meeting and 2017 Australasian Finance and Banking Conference (AFBC). He was also nominated by the Australian Government to author the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) sixth assessment report under the auspices of the United Nations (UN).
AProf Gupta has secured over $1.4 million of research income in Category 1 and 2 grants.  His research focuses on energy finance, sustainable finance, innovation, corporate finance and corporate social responsibility. AProf Gupta holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Waikato in New Zealand as well as Chartered Financial Analyst® Charter holder and a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
