Dr Aise Kim is a Senior Lecturer at UniSA Business and member of the Centre for Tourism and Leisure Management. She has completed her PhD in Tourism Management at The University of Surrey, UK.
Aise has formerly held positions as a Program Director/Curriculum Leader for Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Event Management). She also served a Chapter Director/ executive committee member for CAUTHE (Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education) and an executive committee member for Wildlife Tourism Australia as well as a regional editor of the “Anatolia” and on the review board of “Tourism Recreation Research”.
Dr Kim has taught several tourism courses - "Destination Management", “Food, Wine, and Festival Tourism”, “Tourism impacts and sustainability”, and " Digital innovation in tourism". Her current research interests focus on storytelling-based marketing approach to the development of food tourism and wellbeing tourism.
Dr Kim has been involved in various research projects based on both South Australian tourism industry sectors, Flinders Ranges National Park, Kangaroo Island’s green accommodation, and restaurants as well as international case studies – UK, Italy, Indonesia, China and Korea. She is a recipient of competitive research grant projects received from Australia-Korea Foundation and Australia-Indonesia Institute. She has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Her research work is widely published in top international tourism and hospitality journals.
