Dr Elizabeth (Lizzy) Tait joined UniSA in July 2024.  She has an interdisciplinary academic background and studied at University of Glasgow and Robert Gordon University. Before becoming an Information Management academic she worked as a researcher in the areas of labour market economics and digital economy. Her main area of expertise relates to the digital transformation of business and culture through the application of emergent technologies such as: AI, laser scanning, 3D visualisation and semantic linked data. She is especially interested in the impact of these on the GLAMR profession and professional roles in the sector.
Lizzy has led and co-designed projects across multiple countries and industries with a particular focus on: cultural heritage, sustainable development and economic regeneration of the urban built heritage environment. This includes novel and immersive technologies for museums and galleries to develop engaging exhibits for patrons and how technologies can be used for civic engagement and participation.
