She is currently leading patient-centred research in pregnancy and chronic kidney disease (CKD) using an array of methodologies including data-linkage, registry, cohort studies and surveys. Her vision is to improve parenthood outcomes for Australians with CKD by utilising evidence-based pathways for parenthood planning and care informed by robust data, patient and clinician perspectives. Erandi has completed a PhD in Science at the University of Adelaide in collaboration with SAHMRI, focusing on the short- and long-term effects of fish oil in preterm born children, which has been awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. She has also worked in other research roles at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Her research interests include maternal and fetal outcomes in pregnancies complicated by kidney disease. She is the South Australian representative for Development Origin of Health and Disease Australia and New Zealand (DOHaD ANZ) and a member of the Australian Society for Medical Research council (ASMR-SA).

Erandi has been teaching Human Body 1 and 2, and Scientific Basis of Clinical Practice courses at the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, University of South Australia.

My Research

Research focus: Overall vision is to improve parenthood outcomes for Australians with kidney disease through evidenced-based pathways for prarenthood planning and care informed by robust data, patient and clinician perspectives.
