School of Public Health

Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences

Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD - email supervisor to discuss availability.

I am a lecturer in the School of Public Health. I teach a post-graduate Course called Promoting Health in Individuals and Populations, and an undergraduate course called Communication for Health Sciences. I am also the coordinator for the Honours program in the School of Public Health. I am currently co-supervising one PhD student, one honours student and two MPH Dissertation students.

My research focuses on social and environmental influences on the health behaviours of children and young people. How these behaviours, and the influences on these behaviours change over time, is of particular interest. Additionally, I am interested in the development of unique intervention strategies to promote physical activity, reduce sedentary behaviours as well as to improve nutritional and environmental outcomes among youth in both the family and school settings.
