Higher Degree by Research Candidate

School of Chemical Engineering

Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology

Mostafa is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Petroleum Engineering at the School of Chemical Engineering within the Science, Engineering, and Technology Faculty at the University of Adelaide. He has previously completed his Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Separation Processes, from the University of Tehran in Iran, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, with a focus on Refinery, Petrochemical, and Gas, from Shiraz University, also in Iran.

With a solid foundation in academia, Mostafa has gained valuable industry experience in the Drilling Field, where he worked for approximately two years as a Mud Engineer and Night Supervisor between 2014 and 2016. Additionally, he has spent five years at the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI), notably serving as a Laboratory Assistant in Chemical, PVT, and EOR Labs, as well as contributing as a Senior Researcher and Project Leader from 2016 to 2021.

Mostafa's primary research interest lies in the field of experimental enhanced oil recovery methods. However, he has also acquired expertise in reservoir thermodynamics, chemical reaction design, underground gas storage (specifically focusing on hydrogen), and programming. His diverse skill set has enabled him to publish several papers encompassing both computational and experimental approaches (Google Schoolar).

Presently, Mostafa is actively engaged in researching the Impact of Hydrogen on Cement Integrity Due to Underground Hydrogen Storage.
