Mr Chengjun Zou
Optical antennas: optical antennas are devices that efficiently convert free-propagating optical radiation to localised energy and vice versa. My current research focus on low-loss optical antennas based on nanoscale dielectric resonators.
Plasmonics: plasmonics is the study of the interaction between electromagnetic field and free electrons in a metal. My current research focus on surface plasmon couplers and waveguides.
Optical metasurfaces: optical metasurfaces are artificial flat sheet materials with engineered optical properties. They are 2D equivalents of metamaterials and have been demonstrated with remarkable ability of light manipulation. My research focus on high-efficiency metasurfaces and reconfigurable metasurfaces.
