Beata is a Research Fellow sharing her time between the Biometry Hub located in the Waite building and the group of Prof Diane Mather located in Plant Genomics Centre at the Waite Campus of the University of Adelaide.

Beata provides statistical analysis and data support for statistical genetics. She is interested in the development and application of modern statistical and computational approaches for the detection of genetic architecture of plant phenotypic traits in large field trials genotyped on high-density arrays.

To this end, she employs linear mixed-effects models for genome-wide association mapping and QTL analysis, as well as multi-variable approaches such as Bayesian variable selection and shrinkage methods.

She has experience with experimental design and extensive statistical programming in R.
